MIAL receives ISO 50001:2011 accreditation

GVK managed MIAL announced today that it received the coveted, ISO 50001:2011 accreditation that recognises efforts and measures put forward by an entity to Energy Management system. This standard provides a recognized framework for integrating energy performance into management practices. The main objective of the standard is to continuously improve energy-related performance and identify energy reduction opportunities through the development of an energy management system (EnMS).
The latest accreditation received by MIAL will help it gain confidence of its customers, stakeholders, employees and management towards the efforts put forward by the entity in saving energy.It will also motivate the company to continuously improve on enhancing the efficiency related to Energy Management. MIAL received the accreditation in March this year from DNV.
MIAL hopes that with accreditation of ISO 50001:2011, it will help it in establishing systematic approach, system, processes with a higher focus on energy management.
